Job opening: Tech lead
In this pivotal role, you’ll be elevating Elfin’s engineering and technology practices to new heights. Your proactive contributions will align with Elfin’s strategic goals, enabling the substantial growth of our community through the development or implementation of cutting-edge software and data products. You will also manage relationships with third-party software providers while staying ahead of industry developments. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to translate Elfin’s vision of “Empowering one million women to achieve financial independence” into a technology strategy.
- Lead a dynamic team of 2 members to execute this strategy.
- Play a crucial role in shaping the composition of the team(s), ensuring growth while preserving our unique culture and development pace.
- Work alongside the product owner to set and achieve ambitious goals.
- Facilitate deep dives, root cause analyses, and postmortems to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Develop, refine, and maintain cohesive solutions for our products and documentation, adhering to rigorous code quality standards.
- Forge strong partnerships with external software teams.
- Design the next phase of our technological growth in close collaboration with your team and the leadership team.
- Enable and support the further development of our platform, both with the current technology stack as well as considering the growth into a new stack prepared for even more growth.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree or possesses equivalent work/thinking level.
- Boasts a minimum of 5 years of experience as a software developer, preferably with a few years in a leadership role.
- Additional experience in data engineering is a significant plus.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and the ability to discern key issues from peripheral ones.
- Proficient in agile working methodologies.
- Prior experience in a product-oriented environment.
- Competent in data-driven decision-making.
- Always has security-by-design in mind, both for Elfin as for our users.
- Gets motivated by the idea of coming up with new, creative and cost efficient solutions to our (technological) challenges
- Embraces a growth mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Experience with Active Campaign, WordPress, Woocommerce is a plus.
