Puck en Lieke van Elfin

About Elfin

We’re Puck and Lieke, the founders of Elfin—the largest financial platform for women in the Netherlands and Belgium. When we met in 2020, we quickly realized we shared a common mission: to empower women to take control of their finances and strive for financial independence. We believe the world becomes a better place when women have more money, leading to greater choices, opportunities, and freedom. Did you know that women are twice as likely as men to invest in sustainable projects and initiatives that benefit society?

It’s 2024, yet women are still at a disadvantage when it comes to money. We earn less, save less for retirement, and hold fewer assets. On top of that, we live on average 6 years longer than men, meaning we need more money to sustain ourselves. Additionally, 40% of couples break up, leaving women with an average loss of 29% in purchasing power.

This needs to change! And the truth is: actively working on your financial independence isn’t difficult, scary, or complicated. In fact, it brings an incredible sense of self-confidence to know that as a woman, you can always rely on yourself.

Who are we?

About Puck

I’m Puck Landewé, 37 years old, and I split my time between living with my husband, Matt, in Switzerland and in the Netherlands. In 2019, I decided to document my journey into the world of investing to share with other women. I couldn’t find a platform like Elfin anywhere—a space where women can connect, ask all their money-related questions, and build a financial network in a safe environment. So, I quickly came to the conclusion: I’m going to create this myself.

In 2020, I met Lieke, and we instantly clicked, deciding to develop Elfin together.

I’ve been investing since 2018, and I consider myself a cautious investor, preferring ETFs and funds. My focus is on investing for the future. As an entrepreneur, taking care of my own retirement is crucial. I also invest in real estate, which provides me with a passive income every month. With a small portion of my portfolio, I’m willing to take on a bit more risk, investing in things like crypto and angel investments.

About Lieke

I’m Lieke Danenberg, 40 years old, and I live in a village in the north of the Netherlands. I’m married to Wieger, and we have a son, Jurre, and a daughter, Ella.

Entrepreneurship runs in my blood, and through Elfin, I’m able to combine business with making a positive impact—helping women create better lives.

Personally, I have a solid financial plan that incorporates all my dreams and goals. To bring it to life, I set clear savings targets and make automated investments every month, including saving for my children’s education in a few years.

90% of my investments are as low-risk as possible, but from time to time, I enjoy a bit of adventure by investing in riskier assets like crypto or start-ups.

How do we make money?

We believe in being transparent about our revenue model. The financial world isn’t always independent, and many financial influencers and organizations prioritize their own gain over yours.

At Elfin, we earn money through memberships or when women purchase individual courses, such as our course on investing. We also collaborate with partners who pay us for the content we create and for the lectures and workshops we provide for companies and events. Importantly, we are independent and will never advise you to purchase a specific financial product. Our role is to show you the options and provide information so that you can make your own informed decisions.

Our motto is: “It doesn’t matter where you choose to invest or insure, as long as you pick a provider you feel comfortable with.”
